Knowing what’s on the other end of a cable is vital for managing and troubleshooting networks. These labs focus on Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) and Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP)—layer 2 protocols used to map and monitor directly connected devices. From enabling and verifying neighbor discovery to analyzing device capabilities and interface details, each lab simulates real-world network documentation and troubleshooting scenarios. These exercises demonstrate my ability to maintain clear network visibility, streamline diagnostics, and support efficient network operations.

Used Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) to map out a multi-device network topology, then transitioned to Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) to accommodate multi-vendor environments by enabling transmit and receive on relevant interfaces.
